Need energy. I contend we neeeeeeeed Rage back. We need more bands trying to do this and less bands trying to do mumford & sons.

Early 1990s forever dudes.

Check the crowd.

And after they beat down "the x factor" and their 17-year-old song got to # 1 again in 2010. free show. totally hardcore

About the only ones worth listening too, IMO. Other bands are just stuffing

The only problem with rage was all their songs sounded the same.

I loved Rage back in the day, but I really don't think it would work today. I could be wrong, and I would love to see Zach come back... but he kinda fell off the face of the earth. :/

I remember just been gawky when I was 14.

But when I went to Clash gigs a bit later, I got angry for a couple of hours. Seemed like the cool thing to do.

Guerrilla Radio, The Ghost of Tom Joad, No Shelter. Great songs. I wish I had gotten to see them live. My wife would have never gone.

Another Rage fan here, but I felt like it ended at about the right time.

I also liked a lot of the stuff that the band went on to release with AudioSlave, but then again I am a Chris Cornell fan too, so it was a good mix for me.

Right, it wouldn't work today because today sucks.

Except in 2010 a grass routes campaign got them to #1 with a 17-year-old song with the express purpose of knocking off the X factor sheeple song of the minute.

all the modern mumford & sons crap sounds the same too: strummy wimpy sissified wussiness.

God darn we need Nirvana and ROTM back. I'd contribute to the cause if I could get good enough and get some bandmates!!!!

plus I disagree....was kidding about that.

ROTM.....totally unique wicked sound and different songs different.....check the love of the crowd in those shows dude.

fun

That's not exactly hard in these times where you only need to sell about 6 singles to be number 1 in the UK charts...

Combine that with everyones love to be "different" and "alternative" and it was an easy task.

Plus the RATM single is on the Epic label, owned by Sony, who also were involved in the X Factor single. Really way to stick it to the big guys...

ok but it sold like 550,000 and the other one sold 480,000 or something like that.

but good points.

I like a few songs overall...however...

Not to get political, but if Morello is such an avowed anarchist/communist, why does he regularly play instruments that are produced by corporations?

--Gibson is a multinational corporation run by a social conservative...and he regularly plays a semi-hollow Gibson 335(?)...

--He also regularly plays a Telecaster ("Arm The Homeless"? Yeah, Tom, let's give all the homeless guns, drop you off on skid row and see how it works out for you...), made by Fender, also a multinational corporation...

...and I don't know if they are fabulously wealthy, but I bet they are better off than 90% of us; so why haven't they given large amounts of their money to the poor, the homeless and other communistic/anarchistic groups?

I feel they are posturing poseurs, because they don't "live" the political standard they espouse.
