Think Electric Wizard or Iron Monkey

I'm looking at Blackout Effectors Musket, and the Blackout Effectors Blunderbuss. The Blunderbuss is the Musket, but with a silicon/germanium circuit instead of straight silicon. Now, obviously I'm going to play both (already played the Musket and liked it quite a bit), but which do YOU think would be better for the tone I'm going for?

I just listened to demos of each, and it sounds to me like the Blunderbuss would suit that sound better.

+1

But, I thought their Fix'd Fuzz sounded even closer to the EW tone.

Eh, I found the fixed a fuzz a bit harsh and trebly for my liking. It doesn't quite reach the sludgy, filthy lows of the other two. I do, however, agree that it's probably the better one for perfect emulation of the EW sound, but I don't want THAT

I'm thinking Blunderbuss. Has the versatility to meet all my doomy, sludgy needs, as well as perform great in any variety of speaker-blowing fuzz rock. But, we'll see how they stack up against each other when I go back Monday.

btw, anyone know if these pedals are analogue, or digital? I can't find that one, simple piece of info ANYWHERE

Bought the Blunderbuss. It sounds like a bear fighting a gorilla.

 Awesome, Floyd, congratulations. Let the crackling fuzz of apocalyptic doom flow forth. 8)

Floyd, your threads always manage to make me feel old. But I can handle it. :D
Now I know what pedal to get to cover EW.

!!!

I MAY have a problem... halp...

I was attempting to move a chain of the pedal, my phase, and my "amp" (TINY speaker with a 9v battery). As I was doing so, the patch between the fuzz and phase came out, the phase went crashing to the ground and smacked off a stool, and the fuzz fell to the carpet. I don't know if the fuzz hit anything else on the way down, however it has no marks so I don't THINK it did. The fall was about 4-4 1/2 ft (thank god I'm short).

IS MY PEDAL OK
