so I got a cheap behringer hell babe wah off craigslist the other day - 20 bucks...
It's true you get what you pay for. it looks awesome, and everything I read online was really positive, but this thing is picking up my neighbors TV or radio, can't really decide which - and there's some serious volume drop between heel and toe positions. I'm basically just using it to take pics of my pedalboards anyway, so for 20 bucks at least I have a prop.
I googled this problem and didn't find anything about the behringer specifically, but a lot of "it's a common problem with all wah pedals" that sucks.
anyone else have this problem? or any other weird things going on with your stuff?

You should just get another brand. Spend the extra few on something better.

Behringer has its share of good and poor quality stuff. Their guitar stuff isn't very good. I do love the Behringer B2 pro mic though. Affordable, and a very nice product.

Hmmm, does it have a plastic case? I wonder if you shielded the inside of it, would the interference go away?

yes, yes, i know. it's behringer. it's crap. i got it because it was 20 bucks and mostly because I need a wah for showing the size of my pedalboards that i'm trying to maybe sell a few of... but i had to play with it, and i just thought it was a weird thing. just wondered if anyone else had any weird stuff like that happen to any cheap junk they had or have.
not a permanent fixture on my own board, by any means.

My Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Fuzzface gets radio reception. But apparently I'm not alone.

I emailed Dunlop a few months ago and asked them about it, but they just played dumb and said I would have to ship them my pedal. I can't help but wonder if this was Jimi's problem at the Isle of Wight.

My keyboard player has one of these, is sounds absolutely amazing, it's been reliable, and it can peel paint off the walls with volume:

I've seen a crybaby with a bad ground wire that made it sound like absolute trash. It was an easy fix, just because something goes wrong doesn't mean it's crap.

I have a Cry Baby that I use only on rare occasions (it's not a permanent fixture on my pedal board). I've found that placement ahead of any OD, fuzz, or distortion effects minimizes the pedal's natural tendency to pick up extraneous noise and errant RF signals.

Just about every music dealer around her dropped Behringer from their product lines a long time ago due to the number of returns and repairs that kept coming in. I've heard quite a few bad news stories of Behringer gear and very few endorsements.

Arjay, I tried it on both sides of my distortion, the radio interference is about the same, but if I put it after the distortion it bogs down the sound even worse.
It's a plastic case, with a thick metal bottom plate. When you put your foot on it the radio gets louder. I don't see how this makes sense... plastic being touched by rubber on the shoe, how does that make a better connection? lol.
I've never been huge on wah anyway, this pedal just made me dislike it even more.

It's your body mass acting as an inductor (ie: an antenna).

You might try lining the inside of the pedal's case with copper shielding tape. That *may* provide a modicum of noise suppression.
