My boss offered to "sponsor" a submission for me to enter a music related contest.

I would never pay for something like this, I just play guitar for fun but I couldn't pass up the offer to submit something for free and it was a super nice gesture that he believed in my playing enough to offer. :P

I'm not posting anything too specific here since I don't want any chance that someone might think I'm selling or promoting something.. I'm not!

It is essentially a fund-raising effort where you can pay for a chance to be on a soundtrack. No specifics on the music style other than an original intrsumental or vocal track.

It was intersesting to go through my tracks and listen to them from a different perspective. You may have heard this beore but I ended up choosing an older track that seemed to jump out at me as the best overall recording I have made so far. This was recorded using my Strat, not too long after I got it: https://app.box.com/s/ef11ec1bea805895c823

Nice tone. What was the amp and any effects?

I used my Marshall 50W head direct line out and for effects I used my Eventide Space pedal for reverb and a Lemon Squeeze compression pedal.

Good luck!

Hope that you have the copyright secured and have read the rules.

I once didn't and learned the hard way.

There are many opportunities for jingles, voice overs, etc. out there,
but first you need to cover all of your bases!
