Hey folks,

We’ve debuted some incredible new additions to the American Vintage series, which you can now browse here on Fender.com.

What’s so great about these resurrected models? Well, as always, we’ve really done our homework in preserving the authenticity of our classic designs right down to the smallest detail. But we’ve also improved on these landmark Fender guitars with newly voiced pickups, revamped manufacturing processes and updates to the genuine specs of the 1950s and ’60s—not to mention some cool, reformulated vintage finishes.

From round-laminated rosewood fingerboards and enlarged pearl dot inlays to the groundbreaking "C-shaped" neck profile, these accurate reconstructions of original-era Fender models definitely ring true to our roots:

American Vintage ’56 Stratocaster®, Maple Fingerboard, Shell Pink

American Vintage ’59 Stratocaster®, Slab Rosewood Fingerboard, Sherwood Green Metallic

American Vintage ’65 Stratocaster®, Round-Lam Rosewood Fingerboard, Shoreline Gold

American Vintage ’64 Telecaster®, Round-Lam Rosewood Fingerboard, Candy Apple Red

Image
American Vintage ’65 Jaguar®, Round-Lam Rosewood Fingerboard, Ice Blue Metallic

American Vintage ’65 Jazzmaster®, Round-Lam Rosewood Fingerboard, Olympic White

Check out the rest of the American Vintage series here, and let us know what you think!

Oh wow, I'd love an AVRI '56. 8)

But am I man enough to shoulder the Shell Pink? ...I am! :D

I'm off to buy a lottery ticket this very minute.

Is Fender really using that pickguard screw pattern on a '65 reissue model?

...Er, OK. That's got me wading through pix of real '56s. And I'm none the wiser: what are you seeing that I'm not, please, Orville?

The 56s are fine, Ceri. It's the 65s that are "vintage challenged."

The pictured guitar has the early 60s screw pattern.

Can I get the Dakota Red body offered on the '65, with the slab rosewood fingerboard 'D' profile neck of the '59, with the pickups of the '56? :P

I am finding the Sherwood Green '59 pretty delicious, though.

All guitars should be shell pink. Or burgundy mist.

Excellent, and bon chance. On this side of the pond, bother the finishes. I'm waiting for them to do a '57 with a v-neck for human hands. But if it takes another 10 years........who know's if I'll still be aware enough to give a damn. :?

Dyslexia: the only word I can always spell right.
And while we're at it, nominal aphasia: the only name I never forget.

[Cries of, "Nurse, he's out of bed again!"]

A-a-anyway. +1 on the '50s V-neck. That's becoming more and more necessary to this axeman - which is entirely your fault, ZZDoc!

:D

Cheers - C
