I have never seen a logo like that on a 1978-81 Stratocster. Also no contour body logo

Lefty s are hard for me they just don't look right no matter how I look at it.

I know. I'm even left-handed (I learned to play right-handed, which makes more sense to me, since the left is what you fret with) and they remind me of looking into a mirror reflection something.

how do we know all the guitars at gbase are legit? I can't anywhere on their website where they claim to be an authorized Fender dealer.

Gbase has many dealers posting product.

If those lefties with similar logos are fake, then they are very good fakes. And if they are good fakes, then the real ones must have those kind of logos.

When I Google image "stratocaster lefty" I see plenty with that kind of logo. Only the '50s and 60's and then newer say Stratocaster. The early '70s are without. I don't think they are all fake! I am sure mine isn't!

In the old days, logo placements were inconsistent with leftys being even more inconsistent.

Thanks for the input guys even though i still don't know for sure. I know the guy and I'm fairly certain he wouldn't sell a fake. Then looking online at a bunch of different strats from that era the logo placement was absolutely all over the place and awkward. i have played it also and its a dream with the fat neck. i might end up with it anyway :P
