You got two Fenders and an unnamed amount of Squiers. You don't even play the Strat. Why wouldn't you sell it? If you haven't even played most of them, then you only need one guitar anyway. Just no point on hanging on to stuff you never use.

Yeah I know, I'm going to guitar forum hell. I can only afford one guitar, so I'm pretty much there already.

You have a great wife!
There's always a workaround. Good luck with everything!

Sounds like you have a pretty great wife if she said "don't sell it!"

Do what you have to do, if you really enjoy the Squiers, as I do mine, then the Strat is the one to go.

And as has been already said, there will always be more guitars.

Never sell a Strat. Always buy a Strat.

Perhaps a different or better casual job is the way to go. "Choose wisely you must."

In those straits I'd be out there with one of the Squiers looking for a good pitch to busk, and if you've got material burn some CDs too.

Given the circumstances you describe, I think we both know there's only one answer... sell it.

There will always be other Strats to buy, but a family man has different priorities than the rest of us.

Things will come full circle and you'll be enjoying a new Strat in no time.

cheers!

Good advice, just don't sell it short.

It's sad reading about having to sell one's personal dream. I've walked out of too many shops with my head hanging low.

I'll go smack a little old man on the head and make myself feel better.
