So yes, I know this is not the Squier portion of the forum but posting here since I think this is the section that probably gets read the most.

So, why no Squier shirts? hats? hoodies? I am a proud owner of two Fenders and two Squiers, and as a bass player in a working classic rock band my two workhorses are my Musicmaster basses. They are a '78 Fender and '97 Squier, if you look in the Fender and Squier bass sections you can see how my son has customized them with some airbrush artwork. In the scope of things, my '97 Squier was actually better built then the original Fender, but after getting a 2nd body and putting in a Seymour Duncan pickup and string through the body bridge they are on an equal playing field and I love them both.

But how come I can't get a Squier shirt or hoodie to go with the Fender gear I already have? Really hoping some of you feel the same way and maybe someone at Fender will read it and act on it to sell some swag. I'm not putting down any Fender items, love the shirts and hoodie that I have, just want to brag up my Squier toys too.

Anyone else want a Squier item or two?

Because Chris Squire would more than happily sue FMIC into oblivion. He has teams of money hungry lawyers salivating at the very thought of every Fender and Squire owner working for him forever.

This makes absolutely no sense. It is Squier Guitars not Squire Guitars. Reading comprehension is required.

I doubt he would get anywhere with a lawsuit against FMIC--the two names are spelled differently, plus "Squier" is a registered trademark of Fender, which apparently they have owned since 1965 even though they did not start producing instruments under that label until 1982, according to Wikipedia.

If he had any intention of trying to sue, I should think he would have done so long before now...

Truly you are Lame and Cliche'.

YES did some good stuff and are dubious insofar as they have never been elected to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Despite their commercial Hits and such, they are the Susan Lucci of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame having never been nominated despite 25 years of eligibility.

True YES fans hope they are never elected because it distinguishes them from the likes of Madonna and the Staple Singers!

At least they had the sense to finally induct Leo Fender in 1992 !!

cheers!

The Staple Singers are more talented than most of the acts in the R&R hof, that must have been a typo. 8)

I thought that there was Squier swag available Chris. If not, good suggestion.

Totally and absolutely disagree on the Staples. Madonna too but for different reasons. Won't go into any explanation on either because most people know why they are HOF'ers.

As a lifelong YES fan it would be great for YES to get into the HOF, but if they don't I understand some of the why.

Remember the First Rule of Musicianship: Never disrespect another musician.

Things like that have a way or circling back at you. Bad Karma.
