Sorry man I completely missed the point of this thread.
Modifying guitars is part of what keeps us interested
in this awesome art.
Anouncing that one is changing his user name due
to adverse comments seems to only cause more
of the same pest.

By the way, after my infamous thread on hands and feet,
I considered changing my user name to Foot Lover. :P
But I´m 07502 elsewhere too and can barely remember a
password so...

Enjoy this beautiful drawing, don´t know the artist
but would love to learn how to do this kind of work!

Mike, you can't get story from this thread. You have to go back to this one...

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=87453&start=0

This will give you and others a better perspective of the tangled life of Jeffo46 - Telecaster God - etc. And for the record, I never got on Jeff because of him modding a Squier Affinity, I got on him for changing the headstock decal to a Fender Telecaster, something he did on a previous Squier, which he later sold as a Fender, but then denied selling. It's a long sad, sordid story and I will now let it die.

RIP TG

And apparently he has now DEROS'ed back to the asylum so once again all is right with the forum.

Yeh, this thread got way outta hand IMHO. That also brought along withit the part of being a moderator that is no fun at all. Based on this thread alone, it was way over the top and mean spirited to say the least. Now that I've seen the guitar in question, though I'm also not a fan of replacing logos, and find posting it on a Fender Forum somewhat questionable judgement, in and of itself I don't believe its breaking any laws. I know there was some discussion about the selling of a past guitar under similar circumstances, but still it was said on the other thread that the one pictured would not be sold. All I can say about it is if someone IS selling a guitar like that and letting the misrepresentation stand, then its obviously illegal. I'm pretty sure a seller of the logos is acting illegally as well.
At any rate.......I'm not a lawyer, so I'll leave that to them.
Lastly, I was hoping that all the posts that were well beyond PG-13 would be self-edited out, but alas! Twas not to be. :( So I did some editing myself this morn (again...not something I'm fond of doing cuz a couple were kinda funny).....the only one I kinda felt bad about was the "Scanners" gif........but oh well, maybe i got carried away.
Anyway.......uhhhh....can't we all just get along?
Cheers,
rob
