I'm looking to get my first Fender guitar, a MiM Strat. I was just wondering, is the Arctic White color just completely white, or slightly cream-colored like Olympic White?

I like Arctic White. Olympic looks like some white shirts I have that have lost their nice white look. That is, they have yellowed with age. Arctic white is crisp and fresh, and really white. It is not "just" white. It is uber white.

It should be called "Kenmore White".

Then it looks like you want the Olympic White.

But the thing is the Olympic Whits Strat is $500 more than the Arctic White Strat.
Maybe the color will eventually yellow.

So i take it the Olympic White is on a better guitar? Can't see a $500 price bump for color or lack of a color.

92 Stratocaster, Olympic white/banana yellow. You be the judge at this point :?: lol

I can't capture it on film, but in person, this guitar kind of has a radiant banana yellow thing going on that I honestly dig.

The Guild has kept a nice white coat. which is strange, considering that it's several years older. It's only yellowed in the contours mainly.

The Olympic White is not available in the MIM Standard line....just the Arctic White. I think you're comparing a MIM to an AM Standard, which is available in Olympic White. That would explain the $500.00 bump.

Never spend $500.00 for a colour. You can get a pretty nice amp for $500.00.

Here is my Olympic White.
It definitely has a yellowish hue.
Vintage White would be my next dream axe. 8)

I agree, as a matter of fact I not only don't care about color, but I don't care about paint in general. If it plays great and sounds great it's a keeper.
