I've owned this Dynacord Echocord echo chamber since 1964 and it was made in Germany.
It has been in storage for the last 30 years. Somehow, (I don't know how), I lost the original control knobs.

Help me choose the knobs that would look the best from these three choices:

White Round Knobs

Thanks for participating.

The round white knobs look the most appropriate to me.

Hey, is that a Shure Vocal Masher that the echo unit is sitting atop?

Geez  I didn't think of that.

That would mean a new poll and I would have to take 27 pictures to show all the combinations.

NAW! Too time consuming.

Yep for Shure !!

I've had that since 1970 and after being stored for 30 years, it fired right up. Just had to Deoxit all the pots.

It still sounds nice with those two almost 6 ft column speakers with two 10" and four 8" speakers in each column.

Damn! Everything I own is old, like me, but that's a good thing.

Someday I'm gonna gather up all my gear and take photos.

Hey, old stuff is good!

New stuff won't survive long enough to become "old stuff".

Depends if you specify the order of the coloured knobs. If you just choose one of each then it's permutations, 3 factorial = 3 x 2 x 1 = 6.

If you have 9 knobs (3 of each colour) and you can choose any 3 in any order then it's combinations which is 9 factorial divided by (3 factorial x 6 factorial)

... which works out to 362880/(6 x 720) which is 84 pics. Hop to it now.

No wait, it's probably 27.

Yeah, 27 sounds right, I'll go with that.

I like the look of the gold ones the most, but the round ones are definitely the most period looking.

I almost feel like using that as my next signature line.

I had one just like it. It was rough to transport, but was rock solid durable and reliable and great sounding too. Had it for at least 30 years.

"Back in the day" it was quite common for most guitar amp companies to develop and market pre-packaged PA systems with cosmetics that matched or complemented their corporate identity. Fender, Sunn, Kustom/Kasino, and Vox all sold them (I had Fender's first-generation solid-state edition). While they all looked great and were relatively user- and roadie-friendly, few of them could match the performance of dedicated professional-grade audio products from companies such as Altec, Electro-Voice, Bogen, Dynaco, etc. The guitar-amp based powered-mixer platforms performed adequately but their matching column loudspeaker systems lacked the punch and clarity of the folded-horn two-way and three-way enclosures which remain in use to this very day. Shure's entry offered some novel features, most significantly switchable feedback filters for each channel and a wider range of EQ control. But as with its contemporary competition, the mixer console was hamstrung by its column speaker systems.

The vote so far it tied with 4 each for White Chicken Knobs and the White Round Knobs.
