Looks nice but a little big for me. I prefer pedal cases because they are easy to tote.

cvilleira, there will be a removable lid/cover that has a handle up front so it will be easy to tote.. and this is the biggest size i'm planning to make, there will be smaller ones. cheers :)

Took Joe @ Sam Ash up on his offer tonight, took my prototype board over and put a bunch of random pedals on it just to get an idea of how different things will fit... also gives some perspective of just how big this one is. like i said before, i'm planning to build another one about 2/3 this size.... 2 things I learned today : velcro strips will draw up a bit when you keep your board in the trunk of your car... and the holes i've drilled on the sides for guitar cables to go in and out need to come down about 1/4 inch.

If I owned one of those I would want my guitar and amp cables to be permenantly connected and somehow tuck away when packed up, maybe coming out a small compartment at the back.

Aaron, there is a compartment inside (behind the holes on the surface) that's plenty big enough for any and all cables, extension cords, power supplies, beer...lol... anything you can cram in the space. there's also going to be a removable top that will latch everything up nice and safe, with a handle for easy carrying... the top is still being figured out, i've got two or three ideas...getting prototypes made this week hopefully.
also, this pic was just to give everyone an idea of how much space there is on top, i didn't bother to plug anything in... power supplies and patch cables can weave in and out of the 6 holes on the surface, so there's not a birds nest of cables everywhere, and the cables going to your guitar and amp can certainly be tucked in behind/on top of the pedals on the ground level if you want them to be. more pics soon. cheers. :)

That sure looks cool (and heavy duty).

How heavy will it end up?

Orville, I still don't have a weight on it yet because the top/lid/ whatever design hasn't been completed...when I get one of those made up i'll weigh it and let you all know. it's 1/8" aluminum, though, so it's really not too heavy.
