Emma insisted on being in a picture... this is my guitar corner currently, with my bookshelf of awesomeness. :) what do you think of the pedalboard? it's done, i think, except for the removable top. this is the one that will be sent to GMD soon, as soon as the top is finished. also talked to the guy who runs the guitars dept. at the local Sam Ash, he's agreed to let me come in and use whatever i want to put on this thing for promotional pics. while i'm there i'm hoping to get some input from those guys as well. :) cheers everybody.

Love the red.
Very "hot-rod".
Unfortunately I doubt it will last.
I've never been able to make paint stay on aluminium very long.
Maybe you'll have better luck.

Friend of mine does a lot of aluminium custom work.
Mostly custom trucks and truck attachments including some larger jobs like rescue trucks and ambulances but mostly custom one-off tricked out jobs.
Says anodizing isn't all that expensive compared to many other coating methods.
Maybe look into it after that first coat peels off.

Don't forget you promised us a YouTube test.
Keep us posted.

thanks! yeah, I also kind of have access to a powder coater... but it would be tricky getting it only on the inside where i want it... don't know much(or anything really) about anodizing... will look into it. thanks.... I don't remember promising a youtube test, other than saying Gearmandude is going to get his hands on this and make a vid for it... but I might just do that myself when I get the rest of it together, show how everything works in motion. :) stay tuned.

It certainly looks nice in its current state! Aren't you at all worried about how it'll look when it comes back from GMD?

I don't have a scale, but I'm thinking it's around 7 - 8 lbs. not too heavy, it's fairly light gauge aluminum. And it's not coming back from GMD, that's how he operates- he keeps everything he demos. which is fine, his 40k subscribers will hopefully make it worth my while. we'll see.

Very well done!! Love the color, also.

I need a powered pedalboard in the worst way. I guess that's my next guitar project, too.

I wish Fender had a pedal forum, but I guess there are enough of them out on the web already.

thanks, guys.... a little bit more exciting news today... maybe i shouldn't even talk about it yet, because it's not a definite thing... but i can't help it, i'm excited. i talked to my uncle who is, well, pretty well off and nearing retirement in the Air Force- and he was asking me all these questions about this idea and how i'm going to market it and what kind of research i've done and how much startup money would i need to get this thing rolling... he had been talking about looking for something to do when he retires.... and he sounds very interested. we'll see where it goes... i'll keep you posted. :)

Loving the red! Looks awesome!
Personally I don't use a pedal board, as I really only use 3 pedals, but if I needed one I would definitely be interested in one of yours!

Buy more pedals and talk to me! lol... or, actually, the big idea is i'm going to offer two standard sizes, one 24" and one 30" (shown here) - but also be very open to custom orders, and I have a few friends who only use a few pedals - I'm very much considering adding a third standard size that would fit 3-4 pedals. obviously, i don't have many myself, but I fully intend on filling this board eventually. :) so, if you'd be interested in a smaller scale of this look, we should talk about it sometime. not soliciting, just sayin'.
