Well I joined a new band last night. It was I guess my audition and I killed it as some say. I struggled with what guitar to take and decided to use mu 61 RI SG with my 59 Bassman RI. It's the first time with this guitar at a higher volume and it was awesome. The guy in the band were amazed at my tone and so was I. It a classic rock / souther rock band so I fit right in. It's been along time since I was in a band that I truly enjoy all the music we played. First gig is next Friday so I got my work cut out for me but most songs I already know and the ones I don't I like so that makes it easy. So yeah for me.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

It must have been awesome for the band to have you come in and nail the audition. Sounds like a great fit, congrats! 8)

Being in a band and playing out. That is doing it for real. Hope to be able to make a similar statement in the future.

Enjoy.
