Nice, but I agree with most of the guys here about the pickguard. Need something else besides the brown.

+30000!

The pickguard ruins the overall look of the guitars.

Like both the blue and the green - not to sure about the PG, but it's growing on me.

Maybe it should get really rustic and have rusty parts on it. :P That'll work.

A 1-ply black vinyl guard is more suitable for the rustic ash series.

Another gripe I have for this line is the absence of HSS and SH pickup configurations and the unacceptable lack of bass guitars.

Who knows? Maybe if this series takes off they might put out more models, plus basses.

I think the price will be too high for many. Personally if I'm going to spend that kind of money on a Telecaster it's a much safer bet to put the money down on a regular American Standard.

I would be all over this if it was < $1,000.

To me it looks like a Highway One with American Standard price tag.

Add also $24.99 for a black replacement pickguard.

Subtract $25 after you sell the anodized one on ebay.

I wonder how these beasts sound clean and distorted...

I googled the tube for a demo and found nothing.

I think it will sound closer to a HW1 Texas Telecaster than a regular AS. I would check demos of those on YT.

Certainly there are other persons who dislike the ugly brown guard, I'm not alone.

I hope Fender will not do the same mistake with the basses.

I think it's horrid for the green and blue(But those would be ugly with any guard), but it looks alright with the white/blonde ones, and those anodized tele guards could look really amazing on the right guitar.

It's merely a matter of taste.

I can honestly say that a 1-ply beveled black vinyl pickguard is better suited for that series than the $@!&#* brown anodized ones.

I don't mind the Brown pickguard...... it grows on ya...... it's something that can always be swapped out when you buy the instrument ......... problem solved... :)
