I finally finished Little Bobbie and Aunt Francis.
Little Bobbie is a 1917 Robert Burns cigar box so I guess it's the oldest guitar I own.
The amp is a small Tweed suitcase that belonged to my Aunt Francis from the 1940's with a speaker I pulled from my old Champ. I put a better speaker in the Champ. It has a little 10 watt hybrid amp inside.

As always I made the photograph. It's what i do for a living.

Sounds pretty cool. 8)

Tuned as a tenor guitar, Supro?

I like!

And as usual, the photography is top-drawer.

Rawk on!

Thanks guys. I'm pretty happy with the photo. The whole thing screams Delta. It sounds pretty swampy too. Not bad to play either. It has a good bit of bottom end to it. The Little Bobbie is Robert Burns the Scottish poet that wrote "Auld Lang Syne" he was supposed to be some cousin of my Great Grandfathers. Our family has a poetry book from him. I got the neck already fretted from http://www.cbgitty.com They sell all kinds of cool cheap stuff. They have six string necks too. I built another one with a six string neck, a Dano bridge and Lipstick Tube pup, and topped it off with skull tuners and a Tele volume knob. I take that one out sometimes when I play out. I've got to build a tremolo pedal now.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Sorry T2, it sounds pretty cool. That pickup cost me a whole ten bucks! It has quite a bit of bottom end for how small the box is. That little amp sounds great. I think I'm going to install a parallel extension speaker jack so I can run one of my 1x12 cabs with it. the amp takes pedals really well and puts out around 10 watts with a 4 ohm load. I was floored by how big the tone is out of that amp. No boxiness at all and if I open the case I hahe an open back cabinet. I finally figured out a way to stabilize the neck a little better. Six string necks are no problem. This one is maple.
