Honestly... if you want 'pure' acoustic reproduction, you have to mic it through a PA system with a good mic... there's no other way.

cheers !

If you really need an acoustic amp, get an Acoustasonic!

You raise a good point, my Martin only has a piezo. A shure sm-57
I'm also looking at the fishman loudbox.
Chromeface, you recommend the fender's line of acoustic amps?
I'll have to take my martin and try out some acoustic amps.

Yeah, if you want your acoustic tone polluted with amp modeling and cheesy effects get the Acoustasonic. Otherwise mic it or get the Fishman. Fishman's been doing acoustic sound technology forever and since it already has Fishman's system in it, it's a natural match. Chromeface, do you actually own and gig with one of these amps? Just curious.
Like I said before, Fender isn't real famous for its acoustic guitars.

The other question is, why would you take an acoustic guitar, buy a modeling amp instead of just plugging it in to whatever guitar amp snd pedal board you already have?

Makes no sense to me unless it was modeling other famous acoustic guitar amps.

I do not own an Acoustasonic amplifier because it's too expensive.

After all I prefer plugging my Yamaha FG dreadnought directly into a PA rather than mic' ing the guitar.

If Fender releases a limited-edition run silverface Acoustasonic with silverface Bronco cosmetics, skirted black knobs, late '70s unscripted tailless logo and orange sparkle grille cloth, then it's the first acoustic amp I would pick.

Okay, I didn't think so. I think I'd pass on that one for my acoustic. I've played through borrowed Acoustisonics where I was asked to sit in as a guest on other musicians gigs and was seriously disappointed. I wished I was mic'd.
I don't care about cosmetics one bit, for me it's all about what comes out of the speaker. Cosmetics do nothing for tone.

I prefer having an Acoustasonic with CBS-era cosmetics.

The blond/brownface/oxblood combo is not really my taste.

These are probably the best you can get without actually using a mic. they emulate very well.. I'm going to put on on my Takamine at some point.
