May not get very many responses with this post, but that's okay,...anyway,I got to hear my dream amp at Sweetwater Music in Ft. Wayne,In. today,...but before I get to that, let me first tell you that there is not a darn thing wrong with my HRD III amp,...that said,...that "dream amp" I am talking about is the Deluxe Reverb RI amp,and it's the one I want for my 50th birthday on February 4th,2014! Why the DRRI amp? I loved the sound coming out of that amp with it's Jensen speaker,...to me it had a very nice sound quality
to it,...and for the kind of music that I eventually want to play,it will fit the bill for solo lead work for some good ole down home southern gospel/country gospel music. The HRD III amp is not going anywhere,...she will have her place for some of the newer "praise & worship" music,...but only certain songs of my choosing. I think a Telecaster will go along great with the DRRI amp! Who knows,...if I get a Tele to go along with it,I may "shift gears" and play the Tele through the HRD III amp now and then and same with my Strat through the DRRI amp. :D :D :D

There are only two types of guitarists......

Those who own a Deluxe Reverb and those who will own a Deluxe Reverb.

Personally, I would really like to own a Victoria Regal two. The ability to use all kinds of combinations of tubes and the 15 inch speaker make it a tone monster. It is everything from a bedroom practice amp to a full stage amp. I do not hold it in higher regard than other wonders of the amp world like the deluxe reverb, ( I'm not completely daft) but I posit it in that category. 15" speakers are a tone world all their own.

I do own a pre-CBS deluxe. My third wife seems to think she got it in the divorce. As nice an amp as it is, I will not fight over it. It is just a thing, and she isn't. I get to play it. :D

I want the Regal.

Indeed he did.

The SR is another one of those "must have" icons.
