Currently learning "as long as I can see the light" to hopefully play for her at our wedding.

That's a bummer! Perhaps an adapted classic?

Thanks, man. We're living up the young love knowing it won't always be just about us (no kids, still renting, a lot of freedom).

The Matt Nathanson cover of that is really good. You're probably still cool, right?

I don't know that I played any particular song for her way back when, but the song that finally won her over was...

Secret Agent Man

I still do that song today, of course. And we're still married after 43 short years.

I don't know if a Dire Straits song can ever be cool. I played that song for someone else years later and she burst into tears and begged me to stop. But I get that a lot.

Yeah girls dug that song and that guitar riff a lot....45 years ago. Great song. I think that is one of those instantly recognizable riffs like "Pretty Woman."

I took my then-fiancée to a jam shortly after we became engaged and the first song we played happened to be "Raised On Rock" by Johnny Winter.

She'd grown up in Texas so it worked out okay.

Haven't yet. I hope to one day be able to play "Sleepwalk" for her. She loves it.

Congratulations and best wishes for many, many years!

The plain truth is, I played the theme to Bonanza. I guess I had the right amount of alcohol in me.
