There are actually a ton of openings currently. Check 'em out here. Believe it or not, I found my own role (14 years ago) ... posted right here on Fender.com!

Too bad I'm old, retired and not looking. I would definitely go for the Finance/Accounting job in Scottsdale. Forty years of doing that kind of stuff in O&G. No difference. It's still just numbers. :)

I applied for Controller a few years ago (a few = more like 15) not expecting to get an answer. No music industry contacts or experience and my manufacturing environment experience was ancient. To Fender's credit, I did get a reply and not just a form letter either. As suspected, I would not be considered further, but nice touch. As a hiring manager myself, I always contact everyone we bring in for any opening in my dept. It makes a good impression. Did I switch from being a hard core Gibby guy to Fender because I got a response? Honestly, I can't say yes for sure but it certainly didn't hurt.
Hard core Gibby or not (I've have only owned Fender electric stuff), what a dream job to work for a company that makes a product you can believe in, the guitar and music. You know, even now I know I could excel at something like that better than many. Imagine accounting for and reporting the sales results of a certain type of pickup rather than a molecule extracted from the ground. I took an aptitude test once that scored that I should have been a sound engineer. I guess I missed my calling. There's no do-overs, but only to keep trying something else and remembering it's never too late. Cheers :)

I used to work and live in Scottsdale. When the Westinghouse Nuclear facility I worked for shut down (an after-effect of the 2011 Japanese tsunami/nuclear disaster), I was more than happy to leave Scottsdale. It is beautiful place and I know some people love the weather, but most of those are rich enough to leave during the summer. The summers are so friggin' hot -- I was glad to leave it for Colorado Springs.

My Aptitude told me to be a Forest Ranger, I became a Sound Engineer for the past 37 years after Sales and Management

C'mon, Brad ... "luck" is for rabbits! Call the hiring manager and "strongly recommend" he give SBLS an interview. Pay it forward, bro ...

gomania16, thanks for discovering this. 8)

Thanks for the link Mike
"Looks like they're still looking for someone to manage it" :

That link disappeared 5 minutes after this post. Wondering who got the job?
