I sold my Guild acoustic last week and the next day a friend calls from Florida, he bought a new '65 vintage Jaguar and wanted to know if I wanted to buy his Dipinto Galaxie IV. Love this guitar! Mahogany body, maple neck and 4 single coils! It's a 2007 in like new condition. looks like what you would get if a Stratocaster and a Jaguar made hot monkey love inside of a Three Mile Island nuclear reactor and this was their mutant love child.ImageImageImageImageImage

It's a mutant all right, but too bad they didn't throw in the four pickup switches, now THAT would have been something.

You could have added a little Teisco DNA into the mix.

Congratulations! Those look like fun guitars. Los Straitjackets use those to crank out the surf rock.

Between you and Floyd I'm getting a bad case of GAS.

Minnesota...congrats on getting a guitar you like. I for one would classify this one like seeing a car wreck...you can't look away, but you know you should! But it isn't my guitar and if you happy, that is ALL that matters! Enjoy that puppy!

The first time I saw this guitar I thought it was ugly too. It grows on you and when I played it I was sold. Like spacewolf says Los Straightjackets play these and so does Dick Dale. A great surf music guitar!

Congrats...I've always thought those were cool guitars...how does it play (neck profile, etc.)?

Also, can we get a sound sample?

Thanks SA, plays great and has a 14" neck profile. Sound sample? Hell I'm amazed every time I manage to post pics.
