Well I have no excuse whatsoever not to finish up those 4 bodies.....
Especially the Figured Maple Strat body which needed a neck...
But not just any neck..... Woohoo .... 8)

I'm thinking about the recent disappearance of all Gibson-style parts from the Warmoth site, surely it can't be in the interests of FMIC to allow competitors to produce cheaper licensed copies of a product?

Just today I finally noticed that the Gibson bodies were no longer listed on the Warmoth website. It doesn't seem that long ago that I saw them there, but I read they got "the letter" last year! So I searched here and found Frank's post.

I thought that the ruling in the Gibson vs PRS suit would mean that we would see more exact Gibson copies (like from ESP, Ibanez), but it is just the opposite!

I seem to remember that issue was resolved when testimony supported the contention that the PRS and Gibson bodies were NOT alike. The testimony more of a fluke or slip of the tongue by a Gibson witness. It didn't remove any protection Gibson already had to the best of my knowledge and belief. How many versions of the thing is Gibson going to dream up, both under their logo and Epiphone's. The same for Fender, for that matter. Back to the Warmoth, observation. Long time back they offered the headstock used by Rudy Pensa and John Suhr. No longer. I inquired about it, and no one there seems to have any memory of it, but I do.
