"Elvis Aaron Presley (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977) was an American singer and actor. A cultural icon, he is commonly known by the single name Elvis. One of the most popular musicians of the 20th century, he is often referred to as the "King of Rock and Roll" or "the King"."

"Johnny Otis (born Ioannis Alexandres Veliotes, December 28, 1921, in Vallejo, California – died January 17, 2012, in Los Angeles, California) was an American singer, musician, composer, arranger, bandleader, talent scout, disc jockey, record producer, television show host, artist, author, journalist, minister, and impresario. A seminal influence on American R&B and rock and roll, Otis discovered artists such as Little Esther, Big Mama Thornton, Jackie Wilson, Little Willie John and Hank Ballard. It seems like actors that are musicians are almost always considered taboo. Some are decent guitarists but just because you play guitar doesn't make you a musician.

I think River Phoenix was a completely underrated musician in his day. He was in a band called Aleka's Attic with his sister Rain. Currently Michael Stipe has the rights to the music and the album Zero (neveroddoreven) has never officially been released. I bring it up because I found his music really good and not to talk about his life/death.

I'd have to say Johnny Depp.

You must remember the days when he played with Flea and Gibby Haynes

Remember seeing Joe Pesci with a Strat on his shoulder, playing blues on what I believe was an old Saturday Night live broadcast. 8) 8) There may be some You Tube video on him out there. Haven't searched yet.

Searched: Pesci has music credits working with Joey Dee and Jimi prior to his getting into acting.

Hugh Laurie. If you haven't heard his stuff, just do it. I got an advanced copy from the UK of his newest CD and it's excellent. I think I like his first CD "Let Them Talk" more, but I'm still listening to it.
