I'll tell you what's pissing me off today.

Non-functional hood scoops. That's right, I said it.

If you're going to have a hood scoop it better scoop air and make you go faster. As a Toyota fan and driver there's nothing more obnoxious in this world than looking at that sport edition hood and knowing it's meaningless.

Don't even get me started on chargers, mustangs and challengers.

Absolutely nothing! It's a beautiful sunny day here, got the fan blowing cool air at me, I've had a productive afternoon of electronics and my parrot's feathers have stopped falling out. Life is good.

I found out yesterday that I have another year on the waitlist before I can commence Medical Laboratory Sciences studies at college. Rather heartbroken at the thought of working 3-11 shifts for another year and living under a rock. :( At the very least I can divert my focus to electric guitar for a while longer.

Companies that post open (job) positions on their website, but the position doesn't exist or won't be filled for more than 6-8 months.

Websites that link you to these same non-existent positions.

HR people.

Unqualified management, yes, believe it or not at one time when I started here we had great managers, the kind of people who knew how to get the best of you and treated you like a person. Not so anymore.

Lack of other decent paying employment in this area.

A**holes in general.

Yeah whats with that?
I'm lucky enough to be gainfully employed, but during the worst of the recession I found the same to be true. I do keep an ear to the ground now also for a better oppurtunity, and find the same thing is going on.

I'm going to add my work schedule as well, and the inept management. I've been working a 12 hour shift for the last 3 years, and while it was long, a nice perk was every week you work 4 on had 4 off, the you work 3 on and 3 off. Starting next month we are going to a 3 shift 8 hour 5 day a week deal
I always saw my schedule as a perk because the amount of days off allowed me to pursue other activities I enjoy in life.

My paycheck (and what's left of my benefits for that matter) shrink while all the f'ing bills get bigger and bigger for less and less where I have no choice but to keep forking it over to the thieving, greedy bastards. :x :x :x

We just re-elected our new provincial government and their first order of business was to give themselves a huge pay raise!

This, in a time of cutbacks and restraint!

They spend too much of our tax dollars on running the ever increasing government machine and not enough on the services we require!

Gridlok steps down off his soapbox.

Peace,
Gridlok :?

My girlfriend, 19 years younger than me.
There, I´ve said it...
Do I feel any better now?
No.

The incredible imbalance of work and home life caused by this job I have. No guitar time. No guitar shopping time. No time for myself. :(

But at least I've got a job.

No judgement here. All shapes and sizes, my friend.
