You've got to have some serious rocks to fight a dude that is 6'7 off skates. It's the effort that counts, right?

Chara is 6'9 off skates, pushing 7 feet when on them. That being said, Bryan Bickell isn't exactly small - he's 6'4, and nearly 230 pounds.
The incident between the two of them last night, in my opinion, was more of a scrap/battle than it was a fight.
The thing with Chara though is that in the off season he trains in MMA. That is not the guy you want to mess with!

Long arms. A lot of reach. It's funny to watch him skate because he's so tall and awkward. You're right - it was a scrap, but it's still a blast to watch. It's funny to think that average height is 6'1. I've seen the NHL player demo skates on sale and they're like bears feet.

Oh barrel assa. Glass jaw, MMA won't fix that. The Hawks playing like the Chicago Blackhawks have a slim chance, being a Hawks fan I like the odds. But then I've had more than my share of shiners, dental work, broken noses and broken bones. Yeah, win or lose I'm a Hawks fan. Tell the fat guy to learn to skate.

Rask is looking as solid as Thomas was for Boston in their 2011 Cup run. The most impressive Game 3 statistic? Not Rask's shutout, but rather Bergeron going 24-4 in the faceoff circle. That is positively unheard of. You can interpret that as Bergeron handing Boston an extra 20 possessions over the course of the game. :!:

I'm worn out after watching last night's game! What a game and series this has been.

On Saturday evening, game 5 just may overshadow my son's wedding...yikes!

Go B's!
