Interesting...I saw these a while back, good review. I just wonder if I got one where it would go in my signal chain of my pedalboard. First or last?

It's recommended it be put in the effects loop. I run a final parametric EQ and then the Sonic Stomp in my loop and then back into the amp. If it's run into the front end, I would think it should go last.

OK so it is! tuning compression, and dirt up front, time based in loop with the sonic stomp last before going back out. 10-4

The instruction manual suggests that the Stomp should go at the end of your pedal chain, which makes sense as it can then restore some of the presence and fullness that going through several effects can rob the tone of.I find that the most pronounced changes in tone come about when both controls are set at 3 O'clock onwards.I don't exactly go for screaming treble so I generally keep the process control between 2:30 and 3:30 as going beyond that brings out too much treble for my liking.I didn't think that the tone of a Strat through a Vox could be improved on but this pedal certainly proved me wrong.Using thet pedal I can get a tone that comes the closest that I've ever come to nailing the tone of the lead break to Nowhere Man,which according to George Martin was done with the guitars going direct into the board with gobs of compression but George and John were both using Super Reverbs as personal monitors while sitting facing each other to do the lead break in unison.

Very good review! I think the BBE pedals are quite nice, especially comparing the price point of other pedals. I bought a BBE Green Screamer a year or so ago of CL, and it's a nice little tube screamer. My buddy has a BBE soul vibe, and while it's not as organic a vibe as my Univibe, it is a fine representation, again the price of his soul vibe compared to what I paid for the Univibe is huge! Good luck, sounds like your on cloud 9!
