Found this survivor from music store fire. Contain schematics, diagrams and parts list for fender guitars and amps. '69-'73 and '78-'80. Guy wants $100 is it worth that?Image

    If it were Leo's personal notebook then I may give a second thought to dropping a C-note just for a piece of history, but I don't think any manual is worth that kind of money. Of course this is just my opinion and as they say, YMMV.

    If your interest is in the information and not the actual artifact, then I think it can be obtained elsewhere for a lot less. I did a Google search and came up with several hits. Here is one which may be of interest.

You can get a copy of any Fender manual, schematic, etc. that they have in their files even if it is not listed on the Fender website by contacting

consumerrelations@fender.com

Couple that with all the websites that have free copies available .....

To a collector of Fender memorabilia the asking price is fair. It is probably worth the asking price or even more depending on condition. It isn't the content so much that is of value because so much of it is online, but the fact these only went to dealers and few of them still exist makes the manual scarce. Scarce equals value to collectors. I don't collect this stuff, but some people do. On eBay it would probably bring over 100.
