Well, I hit the 500 post mark and wanted to say thanks to all the Lounge regulars who share their knowlege so readily and make this place an awesome resource. I have learned a ton about guitars and guitar playing from many of you since I found this forum, so thanks! :D

I haven't posted any jams in a while so here is something new to check out if you have the time.

This is recorded usingt my Tele.

Any and all comments/critiques are welcome. I've been trying to incorporate some arpeggios into my playing and trying to follow the chord changes more closely. This is my latest attempt.. cheers.

Congrats on the 500 :D
Great track-excellent playing as always. Funny time signature. Could be interesting to hear you record with additional bass

Congratulations on your 500th post! And that was a nice laid back tune for a Sunday evening.

I concur! Lovely tune, lovely tone. Certainly better than the current re-run of "The Voice".

At my current post frequency rate, I figure I should reach 500 around December, 2017 :D .

Thanks asgeirman! :) I appreciate all your support since i have been posting here. Do you mean bass guitar or more bass in the mix, EQ wise?

Thanks for taking the time to check it out Spacewolf. More and more of my tracks are sounding laid backs these days. Guess that's a sign that I'm getting old. I'll have to make the effort to do something heavier soon just to see that it's still in there.

Right on Rudorama! I was planing to use my Strat for the lead on this track but the tone from the Tele was calling me so I stuck with it. Thanks for checking out the track!

Thanks Dennis! I'm so glad I picked up the Tele when I did. I still love my Strat but I seem to prefer the tone from the older single coil Tele pickups over the N3 noiseless in my Strat.

You're welcome. I was thinking of a real genuine electric bass 8) I'm sure you can handle it well :D

Edit : When I think of it - maybe you once did that ? I don't pop in here very often now , so I might have forgotten or missed something

I actually did record a bass line on this track, but it is probably too low in the mix to make out properly. I kept thinking it was too loud.

 Now it's my turn to blush
That forced me to put on my headphones , not just listen through my laptop's speakers.
This sounded great. Good bass :D

here is a sample of what a friend did all alone. Except - he got most of his collegues on his workplace to join in the choir. I think it was quite good ,pretty complete home production -though not my favorite style of music :

I tried listening to my track on my iPad speakers and yea, the bass pretty much disappeared.

Very nice example there of a well done home recording. Sounds very complete, like a whole band was involved. Cool singing too! 8)
