It's strange. Since I've owned it for the past couple months, I've noticed that my playing has changed completely. I'm playing more complex things now.

I guess it's because it's the right guitar? I guess it changed my life as a player.

Glad that you're happy with it, play on James! 8)

Just need to get it refretted soon. Playing isn't affected, other than bending on higher strings. Killer axe, though. 8)

I say it's because you enjoy playing it. I've had guitars that I've never 'clicked' with and have left me feeling more to desire, which resulted in playing which left me feeling pretty meh..

If you have an awesome guitar you really like playing, the more you play it your playing ability gets better. If you ever owned a guitar you didn't like, you will know what I mean

The thing is, I love my Telecaster. It's totally custom.

I get what you mean, though. Maybe I haven't bonded as much as I thought.

I play completely differently on my G&L F100 than I do on my Telecaster.

Different neck profiles, sustain differently, different pickups, different body shapes...all add up to an instrument that is better suited for smoother classic rock (G&L) than Texas Roadhouse (Telecaster).

Then again, I play the G&L Nighthawk differently than my '62RI Stratocaster...their differences are similar to the F-100 and the Tele...there's an Epiphone Special w/P-90's thrown into that mix, too...

...and don't get me started on differences between the three different acoustics and my brass-bodied resonator!

Every single guitar has it's own personality, it's own feel and it's own sound...that's why it's hard to get rid of any one of them!
