Hello Brothers and Sisters. On this memorial day I was watching an interview with a favorite actor and local musician Gary Sinese. He was talking about his unique relationship with American service men and women inspired by his unforgettable roll in the movie Forest Gump. He has a band called the Lt. Dan Band that tours American military bases and raises money and awareness for the needs of our veterans and their families. I also noticed that he plays a brown sunburst Fender Jazz bass in that band. A signature model Gary Sinese/Lt. Dan Fender Jazz Bass offered to the Fender community/ general public with part of the proceeds of sales going to our wounded warriors and military help organizations supported by Gary might be a good seller for the company and in that way allow us all to show our support. Y'all have some thoughts? Please talk amongst ourselves?
Love,
SBLS

Sounds entirely reasonable to me, with funds going to a worthy cause. TBH I had no idea Gary Sinese was a musician. Fender might have some work cut out for them to get the word out that "By the way, Lieutenant Dan plays a Jazz Bass". It's been probably close to 20 years since Forest Gump was filmed.

That's true but even today, Gary and his band are quite active in the USO community and most GI's and contemporary vets know him and his work.

The Lt Dan Band played for us at Camp Victory in Iraq...A true American Patriot! He played one heck of a good show.

A big Hand Salute to the man for all he has done for Veterans!

Gary Sinise has played several different basses. Initially he played a Line 6 Variax. He played it for a couple of years at least.

In addition to the Jazz you mention, he was also often seen with a a couple of Fender P-Basses after the Line 6, but lately (for at least two years) he is almost always playing a Cort A4 since he is currently a CORT endorsing artist and credited as such on the Cort website where they have a page devoted to him.

He would have to jump ship on his Cort contract to get a Fender signature model. It is a good idea though. KUDOS to him for his volunteer work with the USO!
