Can anybody give me a little guidance here .Does anyone know the amp and settings to get Mick Jones of the Clash tone say circa 77/88 .Ive seen a Janie Jones preset which i cant download for some reason ,so the combination must exist .I have a mustang 3 with version 1 software .

Mick Jones used a Marshall Major 200watt amp with everything on 10 in the early Clash days.

What you really need if the Mustang is anything like the Vibrochamp XD is the first Marshall simulation (JTM 45/100 I always presumed). Turn the treble up full the bass on around four and the gain at only around six. No echo, no nothing fx wise. Use a guitar with low powered humbuckers in it then hit the thing like you hate it.

Thanks for the reply .Tried that its in the right area ,il just keep exploring the mustang .Anybody else think they have an idea i can get the Sandy Pearlman sound
