I don't really have favorite song, but one that's about the most fun to play in public is Kashmir. It always gets a great response. Another that always seems to make people happy is Gimme Three Steps.

It's not my favorite, but I really like playing Free Bird, cause I use a beer bottle as my slide, and I always drink out of my slide in between slide licks. The crowd loves it.

As usuall, I don't have 1 Favorite, I have many Moody Favorites. Here's a few song I play when I first pick up an instrument.

Electric Guitar:
All The Love I Miss Lovin'
Rude Mood (speaking of moody)
Stackin' Paper
Rain Song
Texas Flood/ Leave My Little Girl Alone (segue)
Heartbreaker
Time

Acoustic (standard tuning):
Wish You Were Here
Bitterblue
Rudemood
Call Me When Your Sober (I've been working on a "Close enough for Jazz" version)
Tangerine

Acoustic (open and dropped tunings)
Bron-Y-Aur Stomp
Road to Nash Vegas
White Summer
Foggy Mountain Breakdown

Slide:
Rollin' and Tumblin'
Dust My Broom
Walkin' Blues
Mexican Blackbird

Mandolin
Battle of Evermore
Foggy Mountain Breakdown
This pseudo-Italian tremelo picked chord run, I came up with. Very "Godfather".

I don't have a favorite. I have more of a favorite style of music, which is blues.

I would love to see a video of this if you ever get a chance to make one.

Three Steps is an all time favorite! Good choice. Plus it brings back fond memories like a hot kiss at the end of a wet fist if you know what I mean, wink, wink. Nudge, nudge.

Mr. Fantasy by Traffic is one of my favorites to play. Also Can't You Hear Me Knocking. I love that opening riff!

"Dear Mr. Fantasy, play us a tune
Something to make us all happy"

Great stuff. How can you go wrong with Steve Winwood and Dave Mason?

I saw Steve play that song with Traffic (no Dave Mason) in '94 when they reunited. The opened for the Dead in Vegas. That's when I found out Steve Winwood could play Saxaphone  Really Good! But the Highlight was Mr. Fantasy. The next Year, the Grateful Dead did an extended Mr. Fantasy, very Coool 8)
