What an unholy desecration of such a great guitar as a Guild,as the owner of a near mint '74 Guild S-100 NB I have a tremendous attachment to Guild guitars.I hope that whoever buys the guitar has the ability to restore it to some semblance of its former glory. The paticular pickups in that guitar are probably the greatest humbuckers made aside from the '58-60 Gibson PAFs.These pickups are so spetacular that a certain luthier named Bernardo C. Rico put them on his earliest guitars until he brokered a deal with diMarzio.I wish that I had the bucks to buy it,I'd have it before he decides to make any more "improvements" to it.

I want the tuners. You can have the rest

I for one, can say that the Guild I have is simply the best playing guitar I've ever played, even with the issues it has.

I've seen it. A Telecaster isn't as much of a hit to the nuts. I own one, so it still cuts.

The Guild is a travesty, however the Tele on eBay isn't really a Fender. It's a parts guitar with a home made poplar body and a counterfeit decal worth about $90. I'm sure the Guild could be and probably should be restored.
