I understand you are from Greece, but you need to try and understand.....this disaster is no big government conspiracy. Just looking at the cost alone, it would make no sense at all for our own government to cause such a tragedy on it's own people (even if it could produce tornadoes - but that's sci-fi stuff). The federal goverment will spend millions helping people get their lives back in order.

Our Department of Defense hasn't spoken on the subject because they have nothing to do with natural disasters or helping to rebuild. We have other federal agencies to take care of this.

Tornadoes are common in Oklahoma in the spring, May being the worst. It's been this way forever. Not only everyday people from Oklahoma, but people from all over the U.S. have contributed donations or arrived here to help. With news traveling so quickly around the world today, the response from all over has been tremendous. I like to echo oxfan's sentiments with a heartfelt THANK YOU myself.

Maybe after reading this you can see why people took offense to your post.

P.S. Besides, in no way do I believe man can control mother nature.

I'm sorry for the offense but I feel very uncomfortable and totally disappointed for the Oklahoma tragedy.

That's why I wish to get an official confirmation from the US Department of Defense denying any implication of the Alaska-based HAARP facility on the disaster.

Trust me, I never had intention to troll.

But the majority of Greeks are angry with the US foreign policy.

If you consider this comment as a troll, I'm gonna quit the forum.

My intention is to encourage the US Government to help the victims of the disaster and tell the truth to the American people. Therefore I'm very sad for the victims and I want to know EVERYTHING about the real causes of those tornadoes.

Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel should shed us some light.

You are trolling. See you.

Attacks? Attacks? You're the one who insists on continuing in confrontation. Let's get real for a minute. You've been doing this for the past few months. no matter what anyone says, you have to one up them and keep insisting on stepping on others opinions.

The Department of Defense does not have a member of X-Men casting tornadoes on Oklahoma and Kansas for them. Use your head before posting this garbage.

So........you heard or read some crazy, unsubstantiated rumor that our Department of Defense can somehow control mother nature and because of an event that doesn't directly effect you, that happened half way around the world from you,.......you demand answers.

Just who are you?????

Why should the United States Department of Defense answer any question you may have.

I'm sure they have better things to do.......like make a fresh pot of coffee.

I see all the carnage of your twisters over here on the news and my heart goes out to all the poor families loss and destruction over there....It seems to happen every two years over there a city gets flattened and the loss of life and destruction of homes and business is horrific.. :( With the state of the world economy and then this happens to people...Even with insurance there'd be no continuing with debt repayment for homes and business with the whole town having to be rebuilt for years...Let alone the loss of life being of course the major tragedy....We have the same here with floods every few years and its serious, really serious, hundreds of homes and business's flattened economy knee capped again........ but its nothing on what you go through over there, I just hope for all the people they can rebuild their lives and put the pieces back together as soon as possible. :( :(

Thanks ozrv. Your post is deeply appreciated.
Mother nature seems to cause a lot of problems for many of us around the world....hurricanes.....floods.....droughts......tornadoes.....earthquakes.....volcanos.....fires. The stories are tragic and heartbreaking, but the only choice any of us have is to move forward and rebuild.
We are so lucky that there is such a tremendous amount of help from good people in this country. Whatever differences we may have are thrown out the window. We never know when it will be our turn needing help.
Hopefully the floods you experience will be minimal this year and years to come.
