I'm afraid the death toll would be bigger than the official confirmations.

The tornadoes should be considered as a criminal act since they are man-made.

Why this strange silence from the US Department of Defense?

President Obama MUST close and dismantle the HAARP facility ASAP!

HAARP is chiefly responsible for the worst disasters in the planet since its inception 20 years ago.

Wait, put on your tinfoil hat before you say something like that, or they might be able to read your brain waves!

The most deadly tornadoes in U.S. history actually occurred in a time when Leo Fender was just a glimmer in his parent's eye. But I don't know, maybe Thomas Edison actually invented man-made tornado manipulation back then. ;)

I haven't been watching the news lately, I had no idea how bad these were. My best wishes and sympathies go out to all those affected.

Which date?

Surely many long years before HAARP came officially into active service!

I don't know if you really believe this schlock you've been posting, but this is an actual disaster with actual victims--lives lost, lives ruined. Please restrain yourself from such postings on such a serious topic thread.

If you're trying to be funny, you're not succeeding.
If you really believe that such a process/facility exists, that should be discussed on a different thread, or (preferably) a different website.
These are real lives, homes and people who have been affected.

+1,000,000

The last thing anybody needs regarding this tragic situation is an assclown making fun of the terrible plight these innocent people find themselves in.

Just an update of what is going on.....
People...volunteers from all over.....are working hard to clean up and repair what buildings and homes that are reapairable. Water and electric are slowly being restored.
Moore is the center of attention, but in the 2 days Oklahoma experienced these storms, officially there were 19 tornadoes and several homes and businesses throughout the state were either damaged or destroyed. It doesn't much matter if your home is one of 13,000 or one of 13......it's still a tough time for those people.
Sadly, yesterday the first funnerals were held. The westboro church members were there to protest. I heard that some were arrested, but haven't heard anything officially. The local news is keeping them off the air to deny them any publicity, which is a good thing. I do know that plenty of people lined the streets to keep them from view of the families.
The schools that were destroyed were older schools and the only protection the kids had was to get on their knees under their desk and cover their heads with backpacks or books. Teachers did the best job they possibly could to keep the kids safe. One teacher openly admitted in an interview that she PRAYED IN SCHOOL to to keep her kids safe. There will be no repercussions for her doing this. Actually she has been applauded for her actions.
Our state officials are now trying to come up with funding to have safe rooms at all schools. Where I live, we built a pre-school through 8th grade about 7 years ago. Our leaders had the foresight to have safe rooms built at the time. Our 9th through 12th has been added onto and remodeled. Safe rooms have been built there as well.

I normally joke alot...about anything really.....but I do like to think I know when it's appropriate and when it's not. With that in mind, I have to agree with Screamin' Armadillo and Retroverbial about the above post.

Have a fun holiday weekend. Remember those who have sacrificed for us. Be safe.

The Good Lord willing, some good will come out of this disaster.

We can only hope and pray.

I'm very displeased for the strange silence from the Department of Defense.

If you consider this comment as a troll, I'm gonna quit the forum.

My intention is to encourage the US Government to help the victims of the disaster and tell the truth to the American people. Therefore I'm very sad for the victims and I want to know EVERYTHING about the real causes of those tornadoes.

Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel should shed us some light.

Yes, you are a troll, you have been reported to Forum Moderators, and glad to see you go. Don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out.

The real cause of the tornadoes......mother nature.

Oklahoma sets in the heart of Tornado Ally. Tornadoes are nothing new here. The dry cool air coming down off the Rockies meeting with the moist warm air coming up from the Gulf. These are the main ingrediants for tornadoes and those 2 air masses frequently meet in central Oklahoma.

Add in the factor that as our population grows....spreading out over a larger land area.....the odds of people being in the path of one of these tornadoes has increased dramaticaly. Also add in the fact we now have "real time" news to show these events as they are happening, bringing awarenes to not just people in our state, but to everyone across the U.S.A. and around the world.

Some years are worse than others. We were having a very low tornado season, due to cool spring tempatures, with minimal damage and injuries until these storms hit. We had several days warning by local meteorologist, who get their information from the National Weather Service in Norman, OK, that the possibility of a large tornado outbreak could take place those 2 days, with Monday being the worse. Thanks to those warnings and the people of Oklahoma knowing what to do, the fatalities and injuries were not as high as they could have been.

It is of much greater benefit to offer help and provide hope to people in their time of need, than to point fingers and watch Zeitgeist movies all day. For the record, the Department of Defense hasn't commented because they're more concerned with doing their jobs.

To all of our members from across the pond, except for the troll that is, a heartfelt "THANK YOU!" for your kind words and genuine caring.

To the troll, goodbye, glad to see you go.l I doubt you actually will, but we can hope.

This is a horrible tragedy that can't even be fathomed by the majority of us. Those folks need all the prayers and help we can send them.
