Well, I live in a small apartment with 8 units,
and i was having issues with the dryer not working,
this is a industrial unit, very big.. so i happened to check behind it
to see if i could sort out the problem, and what did i see..
a guitar case stuffed between the dryer and the wall.
it was covered in dust and lint, and once it was cleaned off,
it was one of the 90's ABS red label Fender cases in great shape.
I checked with all the units, and nobody claimed it,
so now i have a great case for my Strat. too bad the guitar wasn't inside.

Now you have an excuse to buy a 90s Strat to match.

That's an awfully strange place to stash a guitar case. I would definitely check the lining. 8)

Maybe you should look behind the washer to see if there is a strat behind it!

They were playing Clue and I think it was the Colonel Mustard with the Strat in the laundry room.

Wednesday, they replaced the gas meter outside, and forgot to light the pilot light on the dryer. all is good, dryer working, funny thing is i did search the rest of the basement for other Easter eggs...
and yes the lining is in perfect shape, it also had the Fender owners manual for guitars,
with setup guide, and a specification book, both publish in 1994... it also had the key for the lock. :D

I've got about six of those cases - my favorite case for hauling Fender guitars around. I bought all of them in the 90s when I was playing out a lot and buying a number of Fender's Japanese reissues. Now that those guitars are worth too much to haul in and out of bars, they mostly hang out in the Music Closet.

That's a bunch of them just inside the door... I don't like the newer molded cases as much - too smooth and no red logo label.

The only surprises I've ever found in the basement are usually in the cats' litter box. Congratulations on your find!
