There is this early Brian Setzer instructional video.
Thought it was a great class.

I´m scared of TABS, so I wouldn´t know about that.
Highly rythmic with pedal tones and synchopation, rockabily.
How anyone gets that from a string of numbers beats me.
Happy trails. :D

Try the "chordie" site.

Hi Mike: the HotLicks vid, is that? "The Guitar of Brian Setzer" - the one Brian presents himself, rather than their other "style of -" DVD?

If so, it's an excellent one, by the standards of those things. That gentleman has a lot to say for himself, and it's all good. Picking techniques, licks, rhythm playing, gear, and on-screen sheet and tab. Cool stuff.

Mind you, I can't do most of it, but still: recommended!

Cheers - C

+1! That´s the one. And a couple of years ago, I bought a Brian Setzer Orchestra dvd, thinking -whatever, man. I was in for a helluva ride... Love the attitude.
Hey Ceri when is violin workshop week coming?

BTW: The Stray Cats' drummer Slim Jim Phantom is currently touring with his side-project, Kat Men. I saw them on TV a couple of nights ago. For those of us who remember the Stray Cats back in the early days it doesn't quite have the same energy - or Brian Setzer either. But still pretty good! I may have to try and catch a show, for old times sake.

Info and sounds - here:

Haha - good memory! August, probably. I'd like to try and do two weeks this time if I can fit it in. I'm itching to get onto tuning the plates. And purfling. And... :)

Cheers - C
