Sorry to hear that, but you're young and the amp isn't that heavy. If you like the amp as much as you say you do, buy a second one in black.

I see older Pro Jrs for about $200 on craigslist now and then.

Just sayin'...

the Vox VT20Plus is a not bad modeling amp with great clean tones and tons of settings. not super loud but good for a bedroom/ garage amp. Small and light weight. should do everything you need.

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R4 ... 1&_udhi=82

the majority are reasonably light weight and in your lower price range

you might want to look into something like this that you can just put in your guitar case to take along and practice with.

Are the Orange Crush series amps any good? They definitely look good.

Yes they are a fun little amp: hear it here:

Also check out demos of amps on YouTube if you see one somewhere and want to get an idea of sounds etc. There are loads of Orange Crush demos too.

I'm just going to say that you should avoid digital amps. If you go SS, make sure it's analog.

Most of the models are absolute garbage on any given amp. I could take a $@!& in a bucket, then put it on my head and enjoy the sound more.

Just my 2 pennies.

If you are looking for a practice amp under $200 you might also shop craigslist for a used G-DEC... especially a G-DEC 3 Fifteen or Thirty. In addition to a ton of effects and tones, you get a decent looper and backing jam tracks.

I quite like my mustang and its tone... just my 2 pennies...

My past experiences with digital amps were terrible. I got a more reliable amp with better tone for far less than what I would have paid for anything newer/digital/full of effects, and this was after I junked my Crate DSP-something-something. I swear by my 86' Peavey, and probably always will.

I also have many friends who have regretted their purchases.

I use my amps completely differently than you as well.
