'Ashamed to say, almost all playing is done flopped on sofa at home.

Playing out weekly at church on bass, always standing. Go figure.

'Strongly investigating purchasing a SoundSeat. A bud has one and it's rather pleasant.

Sure, I'll sit down on certain songs, but I enjoy standing up more. BUT, if you're gonna play standing up, you need to do it almost every day, or else your stamina will be awful... :)

Very true! If you have the opportuninty, join a Marching Band. After standing at attention for hours, marching and Playing at the same time, and formation practice, a four hour Bar gig seems like a tailgait party. I always poke fun at guys that complain about how heavy thier guitar is by the third set  The last guy I felt sorry for was our Sousaphone Player.

Sry, I have no better posture than you do!!! My back starts to hurt so much after I play, that I usually have to have my mom or my brother sit on my back so it will crack. Something that seems to help me a little is when I'm sitting on my bed, I go right up against my pillows or my wall. It supports my back a little more. You should try it, it might help

The marching band trick works well. A marching snare drum weighs much more than a guitar, but puts the weight in the same place - and it doesn't matter if you're right- or left-handed.

I keep my guitars high. I you look at pictures of John Lennon at the rooftop concert, I keep my Casino just as high as he has his. The Strat goes a little lower.
