I was just browsing through ebay looking for some Vox/Marshall etc. hats,t-shirts,bumper stickers etc. when I stumbled across a site called Cafe Press and they had over 100 pages of music related gear-especially guitar.I ordered a "Guitarded" baseball cap, a "Guitarded" bumper sticker,a "Trust Me,I'm a Musician" t-shirt and a t-shirt with a guy plugged into a wall of Marshall JCM 800s and the whole works only cost me just over $60 delivered to Canada. This weekend they have a code that you can add to your order to save 25% plus you also get 20% off your next order for recommending the site to Facebook friends.I just got to page 20 and stopped,I'm sure that I would've maxed out my Mastercard and Visa if I had gone on to the rest of the pages. They have all kinds of things related to music plus shirts for the ladies such as "I love my guitarist husband" , "My husband is a rock star"etc.

This site might seriously cut into my Squier Jaguar bass savings fund-I must resist.

Cafe Press has some very unique items. I was told my "guitarded" t-shirt was politically incorrect, all the more reason to wear it  .

Hi Babalooga,I know what you mean by people taking offence to a shirt of cap with "Guitarded" printed on it.Some of these political correctness zealots are just so overly sensative that just about everything upsets them immensely. When this thing about the world ending on Dec 21,212 or whenever it was,I said on my Facebook Profile that I could foretell a very noticeable peak in births around the world in Sept. 213 because of all the people who were sure that the world would end the next day. I then put forth how sorry I felt for all of these poor children that would have retarded parents. One of my Facebook aquaintances took great offence to this and tore shreds off me for daring to use the term "retarded".

His reply really set me off and I gave him both barrels for his self-righteous indignation. I told him that I had worked with children with mental disabilities for over 40 years and never used the word "retarded" to refer to someone with bona fide intellectual issues. I went on to explain that retarded is a perfectly acceptable term to describe something that was slowed down such as to retard the number of RPMs of an engine and as a matter of fact that a lot of mechanical equipment had "retard" on their control panels.I also went on to say that the only ones who should be offended by that would be the parents that I called retarded. As luck should have it I was vindicated by a young woman who had been in the rehabilitation facility that I worked in,she went on to say how I was exceptionally sensitive to kids with mental disabilities and that she had physical disabilities yet fully understood the context in which I used the word and more or less told him to get a life.I'm all for political correctness to a point but some people take it to the point of it being laughably ridiculous.

I tend to just try to ignore the PC crowd as much as I can. I am what I am, and I don't see me changing my views just to fit in. If you don't like my shirt, please don't look  .
