GOOD GAWD MAN!!!!! That is a sweet inventory. If I only had 1/8 of the gear you have, I would be satisfied for life.

Haha, thanks. Believe me, I realize how blessed I am to have all that crap. Even being in more than one (non-commercial) band, it's certainly not necessary to have so much. On the upside, most of it was bought used, and I got some ludicrously good deals.

The most expensive guitar there was $750 (minty Les Paul Classic with ohsc), after that there are 4 or 5 in the $400-525 ballpark, and the remaining two-thirds are cheapies I got for $100-$250 USD. Some of the better deals, in addition to the LP Classic: my '52 RI Tele I bought from a friend for $400, minty with tweed ohsc, and the beater red Ric 620 I got in an even trade for a clean Epi Flying V I'd bought for $250 (both w/ohsc).

The other thing to realize-- I'm 50, and been playing in bands for about 28 years. Stuff adds up over time.

Hmmm...Guitars. (all lefties)

Fender HWY 1 Deluxe Strat
Fender 1968 reissue Strat
Gibson Les Paul Studio
Epiphone Les Paul Custom
Alvarez Acoustic
Squier J-Bass

Amplifiers:

Roland Cube 60 (mostly at Classic, JC Clean or Black Panel settings)
Roland Microcube (same)
Line 6 Micro Spider (still playing with it.)
(I've actually used the Microcube more than any other amp. Just plug into the PA and you're ready to go.)

I'm also planning on getting a cabinet for the Cube 60. 100 amps is just too much for most venues (ala clubs and what not.) The Cube will drive a cabinet...should sound great.

Pedals:

Ibanez Tube King
Dunlop Wah.
Boss 5Su pedals

Pedals to add:

Morley Volume
Chromatic Tuner (don't need much)

I'm also looking into one of those cases that has the power supply where you can just plug in your pedals and you're off to the horse races. But more times often than not....eh, don't use much effects.

I don't know about the newer ones. I bought mine back in 1996. I used it more often when I had a fulll blown 100 watt tube head and half stack, but not so much anymore....

It's got a great tone, though. You can stick that in front of just about any amplifier and crank out that genuine tube sound....

[quote/]The Valveulator isnt like anything u have ever seen. My tech told me about it, he uses one on each of his boards, he has 5, I was honestly shocked when i a/b'ed it. It ias amazing how much better my rig sounded, when it already sounded good

Where in Texas are u? I am a ft. worth guy[/quote]

I'm from just south of you--Burleson.

The Screamin' Armadillos have been on hiatus since August of 2006 (I had a severe neck injury and could not stand up properly, much less play three sets!). Our first disc (Dirty Texas Groove) is pretty much sold out--there might be one left at Forever Young Records or at Record Town on University. Our second one (Panther City Blues) is in the can, ready to be pressed. We're gonna put it on Tune Core soon..we have about forty songs written for disc 3 and will start recording it next month.

We hope to be gigging again soon...keep a lookout for us.

I use a variety of different setups or rigs depending on the band, the venue, the type of music I'll be playing and the other instrumentation in the band.
