Put an ad in the local papers "services" classifieds offering your young strong back for odd jobs. Say something like "teen trying to learn the value of a dollar" Older people dig that stuff.

rob the bank, beg on streets, mug 67 year olds, hold the president hostage and demand a large ransome, become famous

or just get a job at a music store or a skateshop...

I always used to talk my parents into matching what I make, It shows them you're serious about it and it gets them a bit involved and excited as well. I bought my first car that way. I think that some people I knew in high school actually talked their parents into giving them some sort of compensation for volunteering their time with a local organization. Not really a job because your parents are giving you money, but it earns you some cash and teaches a lesson in social responsibility.

Good Luck

Recycle. I've recycled for a while and sometimes it adds up. I currently live in a condo complex and recently considered doing the blue trash cans before the dump truck arrives ... we got like 6 or 8 of them.

Maybe a job?
A few people here get up everyday and go to jobs they love and few go to jobs they hate (my case) but it pays well.
Either way most of us work daily or have till we wear ourselves out and now we can't work at all or as much as we need or wish too.
