Im kind of new playing guitar, I know for power chords and strumming youd need high action, but for solos and what now, what should the cation be? low or medium or high?

It's not really true that you need high action for strumming. Most players set action based on how they play, and find it works for whatever they might be playing.

As a rule of thumb, the harder you play, the higher your action needs to be. So if you really dig in and slam, then you'll want it up higher. If you learn to play with a lighter touch, then you can play a lower action.

Doesn't high action mean your notes will be off because of the greater deflection of the string from the normal unplayed plane the string rests in when unplayed?
Or is the deflection so slihht it makes little or no difference?
I know I am too heavy handed for a guitar with big frets....
