Interesting rack system. Can you tell us more about what's in it?

Top to bottom, left to right ...
    * Roland GI-20 guitar to MIDI interface
    * Roland JV-1010 synth module
    * An ancient Quadraverb - should be replaced later this week with a nice Lexicon
    * Patchbay for plugging other gear in and out
    * Rockman compressor, oh yes, had that buried in a box of junk for years and forgot all about it, great little unit
    * ACT MP-100T MIDI Tube preamp, a really clunky bit of 1990s kit that sounds utterly wonderful

Rack 2
    * Marshall 9040 200 Watt a side MOSFET power amp for the synth
    * Marshall EL34 50 Watt a side tube power amp

Since building my Wrecking Ball, I'm becoming a real fan of EL34s. 8)

This set is mine: Markbass Little Mark Tube 500watt, Markbass cabs: 2x10" (102HF) + 4x10" (104HF). And I'm liking it... a lot!

Bassists seem to be more adventurous and accepting of solid state amps than guitarists. Perhaps that's because its easier to get several hundred watts of power with SS without breaking your back (or bank).

I have a 90's Peavey 5150, a Classic 50 head, and a Vox AC4TV (for home). I had a matching 4X10 for the Classic 50, but I sold it because I like the sound of closed back cabs more. For gigs, I usually play my 5150 through an Avatar 4X12 (2 Vintage 30's, and 2 G12H's). Smaller gigs, I use an Avatar 2X12 (with 2 Vintage 30's). I like this configuration because I can have a 3/4 stack if I want. The Classic 50, I don't really play out, I just use that in the studio for a different guitar sound. I love the sound of the Classic 50 with my Telecasters. Great rock tone. 8)

One day, a particularly bad day at work, in Milton Keynes, I decided to quit the job and go to the Marshall Factory for a nose around the place.
Not my amps but some serious ampage in that place.

And finally from the factory, this. The Ken Bran Narb (Bran backwards) JTM45/100. Only a few of these ever got made. This one is Rosemary signed, adding to the mystique. Only the best got signed by his wife.

Finally one of my own. A recent acquisition. A couple of 1973 Greybacks.

Ha - style! 8) Good photos too, thanks.

Not sure I get to take part in this thread, cos mine are just standard factory line fare. But for what it's worth, here's a couple of 'em. That's not me, by the way, that's the top of Forum user The_Nutter's head: he was visiting and while I was innocently fixing some beers he disappeared upstairs and the next thing I knew the place was being shaken by his "drive time" experiments.

Oh, and Nikininja will recognise one of those distortion pedals - he built it...

Cheers - C

Only Fenders? How predictable.    Just kidding. I'd love to have the Blackface Super Reverb. 8)

Bill...Not just Fender Fan...I have a 5005 Marshall 1x10 that I use to pick a bit when I watch TV especially when watching baseball games. I forgot to put it in the pic along with my 84 Fender Concert...I was just thinking Vintage amps

And I played a 2x12 Marshall for a very long time back in the seventies.

Nothing boutique, but mine are a bit unique...

My first amp, a Gibson G-20 solid-state amplifier...great, great vibrato on this one. If I were to design a tremolo/vibrato/whatever pedal, I would want it to sound like the effect from this amp:

My sweet baby, a 1992 Fender '63 Re-issue Vibroverb:

I also have a little Pignose amp, but no pics of it... :? I must remedy that one day soon.
