Hey guys, sorry if it seems like I'm spamming the forum, I just don't have many chances to get online.

Anywho, I found a Genz Benz Shen 80LT on ebay for 150 bucks. Wondering if anyone here uses this amp, and if it will be big enough to, say, perform outdoors. I was previously looking at a Shen 150LT, but if this will do the trick, it seems like a pretty good deal. Maybe too good. Here's the link to the sale:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/GENZ-BENZ-SHEN-80LT-Stereo-Acoustic-Combo-Amp-L-K-/281097222631?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4172b339e7

This is within reason for my price range, and I'm GASing hard for an acoustic amp. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good quality amp name. Nothing really fishy about what I see. However, it will probably go for far more than the opening bid with most bids coming in the last 1 to 2 minutes. Also this seller has a NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES policy and it is "AS-IS." If something is wrong with it you will have no recourse. Bid accordingly.

As to whether this is enough amp or not, it is quite powerful for an acoustic amp but outdoors with a loud band you'd need to mic it or direct out to the PA probably. I really don't think there is any acoustic amp that can hold it's own outdoors with a full electric band without miking or a direct out feed. Since it has a microphone input channel it would be a good amp for a solo act at a small club too.

I have the Shen Pro LT and its an awesome amp.
I checked out a significant number of amps before selecting it.
Mine is rated at 300 watts but in reality it's a little under 200.
It's loud.
Amazingly it is quite resistant to feedback.
Far more so than any of the other amps I tried.

I have no experience with the model you mentioned.
I also have the same red flags going up when I look at the ad as brotherdave.

Be careful.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
