If you could only have one effects pedal what would it be? Mine would be a Fulltone OCD.

Ditched em all.
Modded my gigging amp to have two volume controls footswitchable. Don't need anything else. The amp has more gain than any other on the market. Instant easy set up Guitar into amp, amp into speaker. Footswitch to floor, set rhythm volume, set lead volume, done.

Here's the footswitch, it's a DIY job too.

I think I would keep my Mini DejaVibe II above all others. I can get overdrive from the amp and use the guitar volume control to adjust my gain level but there's really no way to mimic a Uni-Vibe and I really love that sound.

Has to be my Carl Martin DC Drive. Works with absolutely everything, and when using a nice amp which has a good drive of its own, I often use just the clean boost side to add a little spice. One of the most 'amplike' drive pedals I've had the pleasure of playing through, and one of the few really good drive pedals with a nice buffered bypass rather than all this 'true bypass' nonsense.

There's not a bad setting in it - wherever you set the knobs is a good tone for something, I've used it on sessions playing everything from 'on the edge' blues to full bore heavy rock. It kicked my much loved OCD off my board and onto eBay.

Of all my pedals, the one I use all the time is my Boss GE 7 equalizer. It is the only one I cannot go without.

I'll echo the Carl Martin shout. I've a Plexitone that I use for abroad. So I'm just taking a guitar and pedal with no amp. Two switchable gain controls and a volume boost for solos. Drive sounds better than most amps.

Mine is a clone of the legendary Tube Screamer TS808 from those guys at BYOC. I bought their kit, followed the instructions, and soldered it all together. It's awesome! 8)

View of casing with 3 coats of green spray paint & my wife's clearcoat glitter spray from her arts & crafts kit.

Here's the inside "guts" of the pedal. I gotta give a plug to those guys at BYOC. Their instructions make it so simple. Seriously... Just follow along... Step 1, Step 2, etc... I mean, like, if I can build a pedal from scratch - you can to!
