Thanks to each of you for all the prayers and mojo sent thus far--keep on sending them out for Round Two...strangely, I felt completely at ease the entire time, so there must have been something that was helping me. 8)

Positive thoughts, prayers and job mojo coming your way!

Yes!!!!!! Way to go!!! You will get the offer if you want it.

I want to thank you for reminding me about praying. The universe works in mysterious ways. When I was a kid, my parents were having problems when I was 11, and I prayed my $@! off and they saved the marriage and are still together today, 27 years later.
I got divorced 4 years ago and the problem, I now realize, is that I prayed for the wrong thing. I only half-heartedly tried to save the marriage because of my love for my kids, but the truth is I did not love my wife and it was basically a mutual breakup, not her just leaving me. Even though I was a great dad even then (I didn’t just decide to become an “involved” dad after the divorce), I did have thoughts about it being kind of nice that I might be able to find a new woman who I actually find attractive. And actually I did that, a year later, and we dated for 3 years, and that ended recently.

What I *should* have done is prayed to God to save my Christian marriage. We went to counseling, which was done by two feminist kids in their 20s with no kids themselves, not Christians, nonreligous feminists types (including the man...it was a man and woman co-counseling team). (Most of the western world is brainwashed by feminism, both men and women. Ask me if you want me to explain that statement.) The nonreligious feminist counselors basically pushed us apart and made it worse and sealed the marriage's fate.

But now I know it's not too late and I will resume praying very hard for my ex and I to get back together. Even after 4 years it could happen. She is a good mom and I'm a good dad and we should be married. So I'm ratcheting up the praying and God will make her give us a chance again. I told her that via text message this morning.

This will go down as #epicwinning in the end. I will keep y’all updated.

So you don't love your ex wife, but expected religion/belief to save your marriage anyway? But you want to blame counsellors as well? And you still want prayer to magic you back together?

Arguments over tone woods and fretboards have more logic than this.

Why are you even posting this stuff to people you don't even know? This is your own business, and if you want to believe a certain thing will make it happen, that's also your business.

Cool story, bro. Because SA is religious and I thought he might appreciate it. Lots of people post private stuff here. Are you a father?

I am, but if I weren't, how is that supposed to make a difference to my comments?

Sa - Prayers to you, I know the situation. I love fort worth, enjoy the job(hopefully).

Hey Drubbing - I get it. I'm 14, and my parents just went through a similar situation. We thought the marriage was lost, they are ten years apart and for a long time hated each other. One year of prayer, counseling, and a whole lot of crying, and things are great. The only thing that kept them together was God.

All things are possible...

I get that y'all believe in magic. People make things happen. People choose to do or not do things, like get married, divorced, back together, find jobs. I've got made redundant 4 times in 7 years a long while back. Never prayed in my life, still found another job each time.

People should be getting back together for themselves and they want to, not because of a belief they have, that says they should.
