going to attempt to build an extension cabinet for my blues deluxe reissue. i have an eminence texas heat speaker here that is aching to be put to use. i will be using the dimensions of the fender cab that matches the amp.

need your advice as far as what wood i should use. i am fortunate to work at one of america's largest home improvement stores, so hopefully we have something available there. i am thinking of leaving it uncovered-maybe painting it black. i have speaker cloth, and some good tools, along with decent woodworking skills.

any type of advice on this project would be welcome, and i thank you for your input

Might want to post your question in the Modern Amp forum:

viewforum.php?f=13

and direct it towards Arjay (Retoverbial) as he has a ton of cab building experience.
