I'm new to posting here and I bought a 2010 American Strat Saturday and I just thought it was modded but after playing it I realized it had a no load pot for the bridge and middle pickup. This was a cool surprise but raised question as well a friend told me it was an FSR he found a picture of one but he didn't know much else. Are these rare? Oh here's a picture.http://static.musiciansfriend.com/deriv ... le_red.jpg, thanks for your help!

American Standard Strats have had no-load tone pots on bridge and middle for many years now. Nothing special about that.

Sorry about the pic I'm not sure how to load directly to the forum yet. I finally talked to fender and they emailed me the specs it is a candy apple thin skin Strat with a four ple pickguard and it was very limited numbers he is supposed to try and find out exactly how many were made but he said definatly not to many. Thanks for the help though it is appreciated!

Get yourself a Photobucket account. It's free and it's what most of us are doing. There are other sites as well but I think Photobucket is the most popular. Just to be on the safe side, try not to upload any personal or embarrassing pics of yourself or people you know. At the moment Photobucket is reasonably secure if you adjust your settings accordingly but the internet is constantly changing. Rules get changed. Err on the side of caution.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
