Now to call the vice squad.

This is the 22nd anniversary of the first time my wife ever saw me front a band. It was at the wedding of an office colleague....all of us Eric Clapton followers, and I was asked to bring my guitar. Newly married, and having heard nothing of my playing other than my incessant practicing at home [ never musically educated, she had no tolerance for the kind of repetition that practice often entails], she reacted to the entire idea with a resounding "NO!" fearing she'd be embarrassed to tears. So, unbeknownst to her, I stashed the guitar in the trunk of the car just prior to leaving. Later on in the day, when the umpteenth 'so when are you going to play' came by the table, she was mortified and deeply sorry that she had insisted I leave the guitar behind. "It's in the car", replied I, without missing a beat on my slice of wedding cake. Once retrieved, and without much aplomb, the band and I launched into the Budweiser arrangement of "After Midnight", followed by "Cocaine" and "Johnny B. Goode". When my wife tells the story, never fails to relate that her 'jaw dropped." "I was absolutedly stunned!"
Hell, when you've done this gig as long as I have, there could be no other response. 8) 8)

Uhhhhmm...ZZ...your slipping...that would be the Michelob arrangement...not Budwiser. But a great story none the less.

Actually, in 1969 Clapton, Bruce, and Baker did a Falstaff radio commercial with the resultant original jingle sounding akin to "Sunshine Of Your Love".

Apologies for the senior moment:!: :? I never paid much attention to the product in that commercial. I was more interested in the arrangement which, IMHO, is the best he's done with that song...after JJ's, of course. The house's beer menu consists of Newcastle Brown Ale,[Doc]; Beck's Dark[Dad]; Stella Artois[wifey]. I'll go with a Michelob Ultra when I'm watching my carbs....which is often.

Yesterday was awesome.

I was the "fairy" for everyone because I had the money for a quarter.

eventually, we were going to all of our favorite spots. My friend was messing with the radio when he accidentally put it on an opera station. We all were dying of laughter. I'm not sure why, but it was hilarious. (best laughter of the day as well.)

Anyways, I did have a happy 4/20. what about you guys?

I tell people that my musical tastes run from 'Ludwig Van' to 'Berry Chuck'. I saw my first opera at age 7 and IMHO neither The Who nor Led Zeppelin have done anything equal to Richard Wagner's 'Ring Cycle'.

Post has been reported. If you want to partake of illegal drugs, fine, but DO NOT COME ON HERE and brag about it!

Well, I'm certainly not bragging. I'm not one of those "420 BLAZE IT $@!&$%" kind of people.

You don't have to be so angry for nothing, and it's fine to report a post, just don't be a $@!&# say "lol, reported." Because then you just become a part of the problem.

It's not the plant that's dangerous, it's the stigma attached to it.
